„This is the story of how fear led me to reinvent myself and how an artist became a passionate yoga teacher. In a way, it was fear that drove this change, and I am grateful for that“.

Lena Tancredi is an artist from Brazil. She lives in Spain, Ibiza. Until 2009 she financed herself with painting. Then came the economic crisis. The last canvas is dated 2009, and this year she had numerous exhibitions without selling a single painting, she says. People simply could no longer afford culture.
„This is the story of how fear led me to reinvent myself and how an artist became a passionate yoga teacher. In a way, it was fear that drove this change, and I am grateful for that“.
Yoga and meditation helped her to deal with fear and not to lose courage. This ultimately led to her having to reinvent herself all over again. She discovered her passion for teaching and teaching others these wonderful techniques of mindfulness and bodywork.
Neben In addition to her art, Lena is now an internationally recognised and highly praised yoga and meditation teacher. She has been running a very successful retreat on Ibiza for many years. But then in March 2020 came the lockdown and she was again faced with existential questions. And again, fear brings to light something that had long been buried: her devotion to drawing mandalas. Every day during the long and strict lockdown on Ibiza she creates a new mandala.
„When I draw a mandala, I express my feelings through images, shapes, patterns, symbols, colours, repetitions, geometry, lines. My imagination is the gateway to infinite possibilities and through this creative process I can explore the unknown and live the magic of being in the here and now. When you are present, there is no place for fear, there is again room to create, to love and to heal“.
